Remove, Lighten or Correct?
Not every case needs full removal. At your consultation, we will recommend one of three paths:

Lighten: fade old pigment enough to redo it with a softer, better-shaped result.

Correct: neutralize unwanted tones and refine the shape when the existing pigment and placement make this appropriate.

Remove: reduce pigment as fully as possible for clients who want a clean slate. Some pigment may remain.

Our Permanent Makeup Removal Methods
We offer laser, saline, and acid or alkaline removal options. We assess your pigment, skin and treatment history to recommend an appropriate method or combination, with a focus on careful, individualized treatment.
Laser Removal
Laser breaks pigment into tiny particles that the body gradually clears. It may be suitable for dark or dense cosmetic pigment; the area, pigment composition and skin must be assessed first. Eyeliner and lip treatments require particular care and are assessed individually.
Redness, swelling, blistering or crusting can occur. Healing and downtime vary, and some cosmetic pigments may darken. Sessions are generally planned at least 6–8 weeks apart, or longer if needed for healing.
Often considered for: dark or dense pigment and broader fading. Complete removal is not guaranteed.
Saline Removal
A specially formulated saline solution is introduced into the treated skin to support pigment lifting during healing. This targeted approach may be considered for lightening old brows or refining selected areas before a redo.
The procedure creates a healing wound and typically involves crusting. Aftercare and adequate healing time are essential; it is not suitable for every skin type or treatment area.
Often considered for: selected brow corrections, edges or tails, and lightening before new permanent makeup. Your consultation determines suitability.
Alkaline or Acid Removal
Acid or alkaline removal uses specialized professional solutions to treat unwanted pigment. The approach depends on the product, pigment and skin; these methods are not interchangeable and are not suitable for every case.
They may be considered when certain cosmetic pigments respond poorly to laser, including some light or resistant colors. Light pigments containing titanium dioxide require particular assessment.
Often considered for: selected difficult-to-treat pigments after consultation. Healing, crusting, scarring and skin-color changes are discussed before treatment; careful aftercare is essential.

Sometimes the best fix is not removal. When the existing pigment and placement are suitable, our artists can neutralize unwanted tones and refine the shape so old work looks more natural.

Your fresh start: once the pigment is sufficiently faded and the skin is fully healed, we can assess whether Nanobrows, lip blush or eyeliner are suitable—or you may choose no new pigment.

Permanent Makeup Removal FAQ
How many removal sessions will I need?
It depends on your pigment’s color, depth and age, how it was applied, and your skin. Some clients only need light fading before a redo; others want more extensive removal. We will give you a personal estimate at your free consultation. Complete removal is not always possible.
How long do I wait between sessions?
We generally plan at least 6–8 weeks between sessions, and longer when your skin or treatment method requires it. Your skin must be fully healed before another treatment; your individual plan will confirm the timing.
Can you remove microblading or permanent makeup done at another studio?
Yes. We assess brows, eyeliner and lips done elsewhere, whether they were created with microblading, a machine or another technique. Treatment depends on the existing pigment, placement and condition of your skin.
Which is better: laser or saline removal?
Neither is best for everyone. Laser may be suitable for dark, dense pigment; saline may be considered for targeted lightening. Acid or alkaline solutions are options in selected cases. We assess your pigment, skin, treatment area and goals before recommending a method.
Does permanent makeup removal hurt?
Comfort varies by person, area and method. We will explain what each step may feel like and discuss comfort measures before we begin.
Will removal leave a scar?
Scarring and changes in skin color are possible with removal procedures. We assess your skin, explain the risks, choose an appropriate method, allow time for healing and provide aftercare instructions. No method can guarantee scar-free results.
Can I get Nanobrows after removal?
Often, yes, if the old pigment is light enough and your skin is fully healed and suitable for a new procedure. We will reassess the area before designing new Nanobrows; some cases need additional fading or healing time.
