Powder Brows/ Ombre Brows / Magic Shading
Powder brows at Synergy Beauty give you the soft, filled-in look of perfectly applied brow makeup, without any daily effort. Also called magic shading or ombré brows, this technique uses a machine to place tiny dots of pigment. The result is a gradient that starts light at the front and builds definition toward the tail. You wake up with your brows already done.

Healing and Longevity
Brows look darker for the first several days and then soften as they heal. Results typically last one to three years, depending on skin type, sun exposure and skincare. A color refresh keeps them looking fresh.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between powder brows and ombré brows?
Both techniques use machine shading to create fuller, more defined eyebrows. Powder brows generally have an evenly shaded finish, while ombré brows are lighter and softer at the fronts and gradually become more defined toward the arches and tails. The intensity can be customized from very natural to more makeup-like.
What is Magic Shading?
Magic Shading is a refined shading technique used to create soft transitions, dimension, and a smooth powder effect. The placement and intensity are customized to your facial structure, natural brows, skin type, and desired result.
Are powder brows suitable for oily or mature skin?
Powder and ombré brows are suitable for many skin types, including oily, combination, sensitive, and mature skin. They often heal more consistently than hairstroke techniques on oily or porous skin. However, every client’s skin and medical history must be evaluated individually.
Will my eyebrows look too dark or unnatural?
The brows will initially appear darker, sharper, and more defined than the final result. As the skin heals, the color softens and settles into a more natural powder finish. We customize the color, shape, and intensity to complement your features and preferences.
How long do powder brows last?
Powder brows commonly last approximately one to three years before a color boost may be desired. Longevity varies according to skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, skin-care products, medications, aftercare, and individual pigment retention.
Is the procedure painful?
Most clients describe the sensation as mild scratching, pressure, or vibration rather than significant pain. A topical anesthetic may be used to improve comfort. Sensitivity varies from person to person.
Do powder brows require a second session?
Most new powder and ombré brow procedures are completed in two appointments. The perfecting session is generally scheduled approximately six weeks after the initial procedure, once the skin has healed. It allows us to assess pigment retention and refine the color, shape, or density when needed.
What should I expect during healing?
The brows will initially appear darker and may feel slightly tender or tight. Light flaking or dryness can develop during the first week. The color may temporarily appear very light before gradually becoming more visible as the skin settles. Do not pick, scratch, or prematurely remove any flaking skin.
Can you work over previous eyebrow permanent makeup?
Sometimes—but not every old brow tattoo can be safely covered. Previous pigment must be evaluated for color, shape, depth, and saturation. If the existing brows are too dark, heavily saturated, uneven, or positioned incorrectly, laser or solution-based removal may be recommended before a new procedure.
How do I know whether powder, nano, or combination brows are right for me?
The best technique depends on your skin type, natural hair growth, existing pigment, desired definition, lifestyle, and long-term expectations. During your consultation, we’ll evaluate these factors and recommend the technique most likely to produce a flattering and reliable healed result.
